Starting in 2025, the Unpad Waqf Institution launched the Sauyunan Waqf program with the aim of facilitating waqf contributions from all Unpad stakeholders, including faculty members, students, parents, alumni, and other partners. This program enables donors to dedicate their funds as waqf, which will be managed productively in accordance with sharia principles. The returns or benefits from this fund management will be optimized to support various needs of Unpad’s academic community and generate a broader positive impact.

Goals & Benefits

1. A revolving fund to assist students who are struggling to pay their tuition by providing interest-free loans.
2. Scholarship funding for students.
3. Bridge funding to support Unpad’s Tridharma (education, research, and community service) activities.
4. Funding for the development of specific facilities and infrastructure at Unpad.
5. Support for financing education, research activities, healthcare services, welfare improvement, and other social programs.
6. The Sauyunan Waqf fund may also be utilized as a revolving fund by Unpad to support Tridharma activities or other campus needs. The principal amount must be returned in full, while the benefits derived from its use will contribute to the broader impact of the program.

The collected waqf funds will be managed productively through investments in various financial instruments or other forms that comply with sharia principles, as well as direct investments in real sector businesses aligned with Islamic principles.
